The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulates the transport of hazardous materials in commerce. The Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR, Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Parts 171-180) set forth standards for classification, packaging, hazard communication, emergency response information, training of hazmat employees, transportation, incident reporting, and security.
Review the following slides carefully. After reviewing the training content, complete the quiz consisting of 20 questions. You must complete the quiz and score at least 80% or higher to receive training credit. If you do not pass the test, check your email address provided for a link to retake the quiz. A certificate of training will be emailed directly to you upon passing the quiz. Print the certificate and keep it in your laboratory's Biosafety Notebook (BSL-2 labs) or Biosafety-related files (BSL-1 labs).
